About Us
DFI Electrical is a locally owned company that has been running on the Sunshine Coast for the last 6 years. We have a, no job is too small or difficult and a can-do attitude. I am local to the Sunshine Coast and love to work where I live. I went to primary and high school on the Sunny Coast.
When I first left school I joined the Navy as an Electronics Technician and served in Australia and overseas for 8 years. I received a trade as an Electronics Technician and worked on complex fire control Radars. This taught me excellent fault-finding skills and planned maintenance routines.
After the Navy, I worked as the Manager of an Electronics workshop on the Navy Base in Sydney. Where I learnt down to component-level circuit board repair. I then decided to get my Electrical Licence so I could move back up to the Sunshine Coast.
When I first moved back to the Sunshine Coast. I worked as an Electrician for an Air Conditioning company and this is where I learnt and got my trade as an Air Conditioning Technician/ Installer. We did everything from large Commercial Package AC units with complex control circuitry to Split System Air Conditioners.
Before I started DFI I worked for 5 years with a local well renowned Electrical Company as their Air Conditioning Installer / Repair and Maintenance Electrician. Mainly on domestic properties but on some commercial as well doing a wide variety of electrical maintenance/ repairs and installations.
Robbie is also a native of the Sunshine Coast having also grown up and been through school here.
I hired Robbie as my Apprentice and he has been with me for 3 years, he is a very competent 3rd-year apprentice. With great initiative and work ethic. He is well on his way to being a great Electrician/ Air Conditioning Technician.
If he’s not hard at work you might see him out in the waves at your local break if the surf is good.
